Retired Farmer Dies in Winnipeg

Winnipeg, Man. — Funeral services were held in the South End Mennonite Brethren church March 1 for Cornelius Joh. Kroeker, 69, who died in Concordia hospital here Feb. 28 after suffering a stroke.

A native of the village Spot in the Crimea, South Russia, Mr. Kroeker with his family came to Canada in 1926. For a number of years he farmed at Elm Creek, Man., where he was choir director in the M. B. church.

Mr. Kroeker was a half-brother of the well-known theologian and author Jacob Kroeker. He is survived by his wife, four sons and one daughter and their families.
