— C. D. Klassen, native of Russia and early-day Kansas settler, died Monday at Mercy hospital in Moundridge at the age of 94. Funeral services are to be held Thursday forenoon at the Church of the Nazarene in Newton, followed by afternoon services at the Gnadenau M. B. church in Hillsboro and burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Klassen was a long-time Newton resident, moving here from Peabody in 1929. He leaves his wife, Susanna, three daughters, five sons, one sister, Mrs. Catherine Minsch of Goessel, 40 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
