Retired Farmer Died at Berne

Berne, Ind. — Funeral services for Manasse M. Liechty, 79, life-long resident of Monroe Township here, took place Jan. 12 at the First Mennonite Church of Berne. Rev. O. A. Krehbiel officiated.

Before his retirement Mr. Liechty was a prominent dairyman and farmer of this community. He had been in ill health for several years, and death came on Jan. 9 as a result of a heart attack.

Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Von Gunten, nine children,33 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
