MARILYN GOULD
Marilyn Sarah Gould was born to Jacob and Sarah Riediger on August 9, 1947, in Taber, Alta., fourth in a family of nine children. She had four brothers - Alfred, Edwin, Walter, Victor, and four sisters -Linda, Hilda, Lois, Joanne.
She graced the home with the obedient, cheerful disposition of a little angel. She accepted Christ at age four, and was baptized on the profession of that faith at 15.
Although she tired easily, Marilyn was a vivacious youngster. Even when the seriousness of her heart condition was discovered, just after high school graduation, her courage did not waver. She attended Prairie Bible Institute in Three Hills, Alta., as planned, graduating in 1970 after four and a half years there.
In the year that followed, the Lord led Hugh Gould into her life. Theirs was a special love, in that both knew that each would need to make sacrifices for the other. They were married July 3, 1971, knowing that the doctor had warned their time together would likely be limited. They had three and a half precious years together.
They made their home in Vermillion, Alta. where Marilyn soon endeared herself to many in the community, especially to the people of the Vermillion Alliance Church.
On January 10 she gave birth to a son, Kevin Scot, and on January 13 she passed into the Lord's presence. Her love and devotion will always be treasured by her husband; even the smallest tasks caused her great exertion, but she did them lovingly.
She was predeceased by her mother in 1964, and is mourned by her husband, Hugh, her family and her many relatives and friends. The funeral service was held from the Tofield MB Church on January 16, 1975, conducted by Rev. H. H. Epp of Tofield and Rev. Howard Woodruff of Vermillion.
