Amish Youth Killed In Tractor Mishap

Apple Creek, Ohio. — A farm accident on May 20 proved fatal to 17-year-old Atlee Miller, son of Bishop and Mrs. Amos S. Miller of the Amish settlement here.

The youth was grinding feed at the Miller farm when he fell from the tractor and sustained a severe brain concussion. The accident occurred about 4:30 p.m. and he died early the following morning at the hospital.

An estimated 1,200 persons attended the funeral services, which were conducted May 23 at the Miller home.
