Retired Minister Of E.M.B. Church Dies

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR REV. J. H. QUIRING HELD AT DALLAS, ORE.

Dallas, Ore. — Rev. Jacob H. Quiring, 79, well-known retired minister of the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren church, died here Feb. 14.

Funeral services were held at the Dallas E. M. B. church on Feb.20. Rev. Arno Wiebe, the pastor, was conducting a series of special greetings at Mt. Lake, Minn. but returned here to have charge of the funeral.

A native of Minnesota, Rev. Quiring served as pastor of the church here from 1929 until 1941, but continued to assist in the work of the church after his retirement. He served for a number of years on the mission board of the E. M. B. Conference and was chairman of the Beacon Bible School here from 1936 to 1938.
