PROMINENT LANCASTER COUNTY MERCHANT CALLED BY DEATH

Lancaster, Pa. — Funeral services were held at the East Chestnut Street Mennonite church here Jan. 30 for David M. Weaver, deacon and trustee of the church since 1907 and widely known Lancaster County businessman. He died suddenly at his home at the age of 77.

Mr. Weaver was the founder of a smokes meat and cheese business. He established a retail market now managed by his son, and also operated stands at two public markets. He was known to thousands of county residents.
