— Relatives from Newton attended funeral services at the Johannestal church near Hillsboro on Dec. 24 for Mrs. Menno Ewert, 54, who died Dec. 21 at the Bethesda hospital in Goessel. The services were in charge of her pastor, Rev. Esko Loewen. Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Ed Smith of newton; two grandchildren; nine brothers and sisters, including Mrs. Annie Brown and Mrs. Bonnie Jeter of Newton.
