She was the last of the 16 children of the pioneer “Iowa Joe” Swartzendruber family. On Nov. 17, 1952, she and her husband had observed their 65th wedding anniversary. She will long be remembered for her gracious hospitality and Christian testimony. |

WELLMAN, IOWA
On Feb. 2 Mrs. Wm. R. Eicher, 85, passed away at the home of her only daughter, Mrs. John Schlatter, after an illness of only a week. She was the last of the 16 children of the pioneer “Iowa Joe” Swartzendruber family. On Nov. 17, 1952, she and her husband had observed their 65th wedding anniversary. She will long be remembered for her gracious hospitality and Christian testimony.
