MARY UNRUH

(Mrs.) Mary Unruh (nee Hildebrandt) was born September 5. 1907 in Neukirch, South Russia. Her parents were Henry and Elisabeth (nee Wiebe) Hildebrandt. When she was six her parents moved to Siberia, where she grew up. On May 1. 1927 she married Cornelius Unruh. In the spring of 1928 she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour and Lord, and shortly after was baptized. She joined the Mennonite Brethren Church. where she was a member until her death.

In 1929 she and her husband immigrated to Canada, living for the first year at Rosthern, Sask. Then they moved to B. C., living at Pitt Meadows for eight years , and Sumas Prairie for 24. The family farm was sold in 1962 and they settled in Clearbrook, B.C.

The Lord blessed them with six children - five daughters and one son. All have accepted Jesus Christ as Saviour. She passed away July 2, at the age of 66.

She leaves to mourn her husband, five daughters, one son, one daughter-in-law, five sons-in-law, one brother and a host of friends and relatives.
