HENRY H. MUELLER

Henry Muller was born on November 2, 1905 at the Kuban, Russia, to Henry and Maria Muller (nee Liesch), fourth in a family of ten. He accepted Christ as his Saviour at age 17, was baptized shortly after and accepted into the Mennonite Church.

In 1928 he married Olga Schmidt. They migrated to Canada in 1930, settling first in Morden, Man. and then in the Fraser Valley, B.C. For 45 years they shared joys and sorrows until the Lord called Mrs. Muller home November 28, 1973.

He was a loving father and good provider, and by his word and example directed each child to seek the Lord. He loved music, and inspired the children to become a singing family . He also had a fervent prayer life and warm compassion for those around him. His occupation as builder, a career already begun as a mason in Russia, earned him a reputation as a master craftsman.

He passed away March 11. He was predeceased by his wife three and a half months earlier. He is survived by two sons: Bruno of Bradner and Henry of Abbotsford, B.C.; seven daughters: Mrs. Wayde (Rita) Radzikowski of Coquitlam; Mrs. William (Erna) Gobbett of Grand Forks; Mrs. Frank (Olga) Friesen of Winnipeg; Mrs. Jake (Katherine) Hintz of Hamilton, Ont.; Mrs. Roy (Eva) Dueck of Clearbrook; Mrs. Sam (Doris) Friesen of Seattle; and Mrs. Menno (Magdalene) Wiens of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont.; 27 grandchildren; one sister and many relatives and friends.
