SERVICES FOR JACOB L. GOERTZEN HELD AT HENDERSON M. B. CHURCH

Henderson, Neb.— Funeral services for Jacob L. Goertzen, 66, who was instantly killed in an accident at his farm Nov. 11, were conducted Friday afternoon at the Mennonite Brethren church here, Rev. Louis Goertz officiating.

Mr. Goertzen was pulling a corn elevator with a tractor when the elevator toppled over and struck him. Herman L. Friesen, a brother-in-law, and Dave Hiebert, a neighbor, rushed to his aid but it is believed that he died almost instantly.

A life-long resident here, Mr. Goertzen is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; one son, John, of Henderson;; and one daughter, Mrs. Bertha Hall of Whittier, Calif. Mrs. Goertzen was visiting her daughter when the tragedy occurred and returned here immediately.
