Father of Four Dies of Polio

Nappannee [sic Nappanee], Ind. — John Henry Hochstetler, 30, of the Amish community west of here, died at Elkhart General hospital Oct. 1 six days after being admitted for treatment of poliomyelitis. He leaves his wife, the former Esther Miller, and four children.

Funeral services were conducted at the Hochstetler home by Henry J. S. Yoder and Bishop John Schwartz.

Other survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Hostetler, five brothers and four sisters.
