Goshen, Ind. — Funeral services for Elmer J. Christner, 14, whose death from polio was the third in Elkhart county this year, were held at the Griner Mennonite church near Middlebury on Sunday, Sept. 21, Samuel Eash, John Yoder and Clarence Yoder officiated.

The youth, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Christner of Route 3, Goshen, died from bulbar polio at Northern Indiana Children's hospital, South Bend, on Sept. 18.

He is survived by the parents, three sisters and two brothers and his grandmother, Mrs. Amanda Burkholder of Nappanee.

14-YEAR-OLD BOY THIRD TO DIE FROM POLIO IN ELKHART CO.

Goshen, Ind. — Funeral services for Elmer J. Christner, 14, whose death from polio was the third in Elkhart county this year, were held at the Griner Mennonite church near Middlebury on Sunday, Sept. 21, Samuel Eash, John Yoder and Clarence Yoder officiated.

The youth, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Christner of Route 3, Goshen, died from bulbar polio at Northern Indiana Children's hospital, South Bend, on Sept. 18.

He is survived by the parents, three sisters and two brothers and his grandmother, Mrs. Amanda Burkholder of Nappanee.
