Slabach, 30, who was killed in the early morning hours of July 17 when his car collided with a truck near Homer, Mich. It is believed he went to sleep at the wheel, his car swerving into the path of a semi-trailer. | |||
The young man, who was single, was a native of Stark County, Ohio and had lived at Shipshewana most of his life. Recently he had moved to White Pigeon, Mich. with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. David M. Slabaugh. He was employed by a boat company at Mottville, Mich. | |||

Killed When Car And Truck Meet Head-On
Shipshewana, Ind. — Funeral services were held at the Middlebury Mennonite Church July 19 for Albert D. Slabach, 30, who was killed in the early morning hours of July 17 when his car collided with a truck near Homer, Mich. It is believed he went to sleep at the wheel, his car swerving into the path of a semi-trailer.
