As the Review goes to press, word is received that Lloyd Miller of the Inman community was instantly killed by a bolt of lightning Tuesday afternoon at his farm four miles west and three and a quarter miles north of Inman.

Mr. Miller, a former teacher in the Inman community, was loading rye bundles on a tractor-drawn trailer at his farm north and west of here when the lightning bolt struck. The straw was ignited and the fire attracted the attention of three farmers working in an adjoining field. They rushed to the scene and summoned aid.

INMAN FARMER KILLED BY LIGHTNING

As the Review goes to press, word is received that Lloyd Miller of the Inman community was instantly killed by a bolt of lightning Tuesday afternoon at his farm four miles west and three and a quarter miles north of Inman.

A member of the West Liberty Mennonite congregation, he is survived by his wife and four sons.

Services Held For Inman Farmer

Inman, Kan. — Funeral services for D. Lloyd Miller, 48, who was instantly killed June 11 when struck by a bolt of lightning, took place Saturday afternoon, June 15, at the West Liberty Mennonite Church.

Mr. Miller, a former teacher in the Inman community, was loading rye bundles on a tractor-drawn trailer at his farm north and west of here when the lightning bolt struck.
