Sugarcreek, Ohio. — Funeral services were held at the Martin Creek Mennonite church July 26 for John Kandel, 55, who was fatally injured in a tractor accident at his farm near Berlin on Tuesday, July 22. The services were in charge of D. D. Miller and Warren Miller.

Mr. Kandel was working alone mowing hay, when his tractor overturned in a ditch. A neighbor noticed the accident and called county officials, who gave a verdict of accidental death.

He is survived by his wife, Verba, four sons and one daughter and 15 grandchildren.
