&#8212; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Unruh received word of the death of their sisteR-in-law, Mrs. John V. Lehrman, who passed away Dec. 26 at Brooks, Ore.  Funeral services were to be held at the Pratum, Ore. Mennonite Church on Monday.  Mrs. Lehrman is survived by her husband; a son, Melvin of Reedley, Calif.; a daughter Bernice of the home, and brothers and sisters.

Anna S. Lehrman, daughter of Henry and Anna Dalke, was born August 19, 1892, in Hillsboro, Kansas.  She passed away at her home near Brooks, Oregon at 11:05 a.m. on Dec. 26, 1956.
 
She moved with her parents from Hillsboro to Cordell, Okla., at an early age.  She was baptized upon her confession of faith at Bessie, Okla., on May 31, 1909, and became a member of the Herold Mennonite Church of Bessie.
 
In 1915 the family moved to Dubois, Idaho where she met John V. Lehrman to whom she was married on May 19, 1918. A son, Melvin Chester, was born Sept. 28, 1919.
 
In 1920 the Lehrmans moved to Aberdeen, Idaho.  Here a daughter Bernice, was born Sept. 26, 1921.
 
In 1925 they moved to a farm near Brooks, Oregon, where she lived until her death.  Here they joined with the fellowship of the Pratum Mennonite Church where Mrs. Lehrman continued a faithful member until her death.  She was an active worker in the missionary society and spent much time in sorting and packing clothing for overseas relief.  She was keenly interested in conference missionary work and was a faithful supporter of the work.  She is especially remembered for her fine hospitality, and in the home she was a faithful and devoted wife and mother.
 
Mrs. Lehrman is survived by her husband; her son Melvin and wife Gertrude of Reedley, Calif.; her daughter, Bernice of Eugene; two grandsons; her stepmother, Mrs. Anna Dalke, Aberdeen, Idaho; eight brothers, Arthur Dalke of Salem, Oregon, Henry Dalke of San Leandro, Calif., Jake Dalke of Haywood, Calif., Ferd Dalke of Aberdeen, Arnold Dalke of Dallas, Oregon, Ernest Dalke of American Falls, Idaho, Orlando Dalke of Boise, Idaho, Eldon Dalke of Kansas City, Kansas; eight sisters, Mrs. Ella Dalke of Berkely, Calif., Mrs. Clara Miles of Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Esther Ediger of Dallas, Ore., Mrs. Pauline Wilske, American Falls, Idaho, Miss Roselle Dalke of Salem, Oregon, Mrs. Martha Misner of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Linda Claassen of Corvallis, Oregon, Mrs. Ruth Eden of Salt Lake City, Utah; besides a host of friends.

MRS. JOHN V. LEHRMAN
