Freeman Resident Called by Death

Freeman, S. D. — Funeral services for Mrs. Jake T. Gross, 72, well-known resident of the Freeman community, were held Dec. 23 at the Bethany Mennonite Church, Rev. Lester Hostetler officiating. Death came at the home in Freeman on Dec. 20, after a long illness.

Mrs. Gross, the former Bertha Groves, was born at Olney, Ill. She is survived by her husband; one son, Dr. Harold T. Gross of Freeman Junior College; two daughters, Mrs. Dave Hofer of Menno and Bernice of the home; and five grandchildren.
