Mrs. Sarah Heppner was born in 1886 in Parker, South Dakota, to Jacob and Helen Loewen. At an early age she moved with her parents to the Brotherfield district, near Waldheim, Sask. Here she was converted in the Brotherfield MB Church.

In 1905, she was married to Bernhard Heppner of Laird, Sask. This union was blessed with 13 children, 7 daughters and 6 sons. The Heppners lived in Laird most of their 63 years together until 1965 when they moved to Hepburn, Sask.

Sarah was in the Sunnyside Nursing Home for the last year and 9 months. She passed away on June 24, 1973, after a lengthy illness. Sarah was predeceased by her husband and 3 sons. Left to mourn are her 10 children and their families. Funeral services were held in the Hepburn MB Church on June 27 with Rev. John Froese officiating.
