MARGARET KLASSEN

Margaret Klassen was born in 1889 near Altona, Manitoba. In 1908 she was married to Abram R. D. Klassen from Morris. Later that year they moved to a homestead in the Beaver Flat district, Saskatchewan. God blessed their marriage with 5 sons and 7 daughters.

She accepted the Lord as her personal Saviour in 1913 and became very active in the MB Church at Turnhill, which the family attended. Although times were difficult during the years of depression, the family remembers her as loving to sing and to open her home for friends and neighbours.

She was predeceased by her husband (1959) as well as 3 sons and a daughter. Left to mourn are six daughters: Elsie (Herbert), Linda (Nigeria), Susie (Stewart Valley), Helen (Success), Ruby (Stanwood) Washington), Gladys (Tawas City, Michigan); two sons: Ernest (Germany), Art (Ernfold); 28 grandchildren, 24 g.grandchildren, a sister and brother in Altona.

The funeral was held on April 19 with Pastor Nikkel officiating.
