| + | — Funeral services were held at the First Mennonite Church on Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Clifford Wiens, 27, who was fatally injured early Sunday morning when the car she was driving struck a culvert on the First Street Road several miles east of Newton. The Wiens' three-year-old daughter, Cheryl Lynne, suffered fractures of an arm and leg and was in critical condition from shock and exposure as the accident was not discovered for more than an hour after it occurred. She remains a patient at the Bethel Deaconess hospital. Mrs. Wiens, the former Louise Musser, is survived by her husband and daughter; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Russell G. Musser of Newton; two sisters and five brothers. |
