PAROLE OFFICER OF ELKHART COUNTY, IND. KILLED IN CRASH
Goshen, Ind. — A highway accident near Elkhart on Feb.19 claimed the life of Ernest I. Stahly, 58, of Route 3 Goshen, parole officer of Elkhart county. Funeral services were held at the Eighth Street Mennonite church here, of which he was a member.
The accident occurred when the car in which he was driving alone went into a skid on slippery Highway 20 and crashed into the cab of a semi tractor and trailer.
Mr. Stahly engaged in overseas relief work after World War I. He was a graduate of Bluffton college, received the master's degree from the University of Illinois, and taught in public schools and colleges for a number of years.
