Dr. Fritz Kliewer, 51, founder and editor of "Bibel u. Pflug," German Mennonite publication of Brazil, died at his home at Witmarsum, Campo Largo, on June 7, presumably of heart attack.

He was hospitalized for a time in May, but had recovered and was able to return home again.

"Bibel u. Pflug," financed largely by conference loans from the U. S., circulates among South American Mennonites in general and has good lists of readers also in Paraguay and Uruguay.

German Mennonite Editor Died in Brazil

DR. FRITZ KLIEWER WAS FOUNDER AND EDITOR OF "BIBEL U. PFLUG"

Dr. Fritz Kliewer, 51, founder and editor of "Bibel u. Pflug," German Mennonite publication of Brazil, died at his home at Witmarsum, Campo Largo, on June 7, presumably of heart attack.

He was hospitalized for a time in May, but had recovered and was able to return home again.

"Bibel u. Pflug," financed largely by conference loans from the U. S., circulates among South American Mennonites in general and has good lists of readers also in Paraguay and Uruguay.

In his last issue, Dr. Kliewer yet wrote an extensive article on the need for a church-sponsored secondary school in Brazil to promote the Mennonite faith and principles among the people.
