N. Hiebert she gave her life to the Lord and became a happy child of God. Frieda was baptized at the age of 15 and became a member of the Mennonite Brethren Church. In 1955 she came to Canada together with her parents, brothers and sisters. Three sons, Henry John, Arthur Peter and Edwin Gerald, blessed this union.

She enjoyed good health until four years ago when a brain tumor first became apparent. She underwent treatment and brain surgery on August 13, 1968. She knew the seriousness of the operation and was ready to meet the Lord. However, by the grace of God she slowly began to recover. In January, 1972 she began to worsen again and on April 1, after a series of tests which proved too much for her strength to withstand, she went to be with the Lord. She was 37.
