Aged Grandfather Died at Thomas

Weatherford, Okla. — Funeral services were held at the Pleasant View Mennonite Church on March 9 for Valentine David Detweiler, 83, who died at his home southeast of Thomas on March 7. He had been in a coma since Sunday.

The services were in charge of Bishop Alva Swartzendruber.

Mr. Detweiler was born at Hopedale, Ill., on Oct. 9, 1872. He leaves his companion, six daughters, three sons, 25 grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
