Called By Death At Age 84

Goshen, Ind. — Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Burkey, 84, lifelong resident of the Wakarusa and Nappanee communities, were held at the North Main Street Mennonite Church in Nappanee on March 1. Rev. Home North officiated.

Mrs. Burkey, who was born near Wakarusa on May 18, 1871, had lived northeast of Nappanee for the past 34 years.

Surviving are her husband, Jerome Burkey; two step-children, George Burkey of Syracuse and Mary Burkey of the home; and two brothers. Jon M. Culp of Wakrusa and Nelson Culp of Chicago.
