WELL-KNOWN BUILDING CONTRACTOR CALLED BY DEATH AT BERNE, IND.

Berne, Ind. — Funeral services were held at the First Mennonite church Jan. 18 for Emanuel Neuenschwander, 76, prominent building contractor here and a director of the Berne Lumber Company. He died suddenly of a heart attack at his home on Jan. 15.

Widely known as a skilled workman, Mr. Neuenschwander followed the trade of carpenter and builder here for half a century. A large number of houses, business buildings, farm buildings and churches in this area sand as a tribute to his workmanship.

He leaves his wife, four children, 15 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a brother, Rev. Wm. Neuenschwander of Wadsworth, O.
