ANNA REMPEL

(Mrs.) Anna Rempel passed away in Herbert, Sask., on Christmas Day, at the age of 79. She was born in 1891 in Marion, Kansas, and emigrated to Canada with her parents in 1904, settling near Main Centre, Saskatchewan. She was converted, and baptised into the MB church in 1908. In 1912 she was united in marriage to David Jacob Rempel. They homesteaded in the Main Centre district, and were blessed with nine children. In 1941 they moved to Vancouver, and a year later her husband passed away. Her youngest son met an accidental death three years later. She was also predeceased by an infant son. Through these trials she did not waver in the faith. She leaves to mourn her passing, three sons: Menno, Burbank, California; Waldo, Vancouver; Leonard, Main Centre, Sask.; and four daughters: Mrs. Corny (Elizabeth) Wiebe, Main Centre; Mrs. Martin (Bertha) Schroeder, Lanigan, Sask.; Mrs. Harry (Selma) Penner, Swift Current, Sask.; Mrs. David (Doris) Baerg, Everett, Washington; 24 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
