WESTERN KANSAS FARMER DIED

Montezuma, Kan. — Daniel T. Dirks, 74, a resident here for the past several years, died April 28. He was born in Barton county on Oct. 19, 1880 and lived at Durham, but spent most of his life in Gray county, Kansas, where he farmed.

He leaves his wife, Amanda, and a large family of descendants, including nine children, 26 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite.
