CORNELIUS JOHN DYCK
Cornelius John Dyck, Herbert, Sask., passed away on November 1 in the Herbert Hospital. He was born on June 14, 1893 in the village of Georgstal, Furstenland, South Russia. In 1919 he was baptized and accepted into the Mennonite Church. On January 24, 1921 he was married to Aganetha Dyck, a union which was blessed with nine children. In 1927 they migrated from Russia to Canada, settling in the Cabri area of Saskatchewan. During their years on the farm, they lived in several different parts of Saskatchewan. In 1962 they retired to the town of Herbert, where he lived until the time of his departure. His wife, Aganetha, predeceased him on January 6, 1964. On December 6, 1964, he was married again to Mrs. Maria Mueller. He was a member of the Herbert Mennonite Brethren Church at the time of his passing.
He is survived by his wife Maria; one daughter, Mrs. Jake (Nettie) Klassen, Herbert; two sons, Jake o,f Brandon and Ben of Swift Current; one stepson, six stepdaughters, 31 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one sister and two brothers, one of them in Russia.
