INDIANA FARMER DRIVES TRUCK INTO PATH OF SPEEDING TRAIN

Berne, Ind. — Funeral services were held at the Leo Mennonite church on Jan. 25 for Peter A. Liechty, 52, well known farmer of the Grabill community who was instantly killed in a railroad crossing accident Jan. 22.

Mr. Liechty apparently failed to see the oncoming Wabash Cannon Ball train and drove his truck into its path.

He leaves his wife Martha, five children and a number of brothers and sisters.
