MRS. MARIE RATZLAFF

Marie Ratzlaff, Linden, Alta. passed away May 10 at the age of 75. She was born December 30, 1894 to Jacob and Helena Braun at Winkler, Manitoba. In 1903 the Braun family moved to Alberta where they took up farming in the Didsbury-Sunnyslope area. On June 21, 1926,she was married to Samuel Ratzlaff of Sunnyslope. Seven children were born to them, the eldest of whom, Lois Jean, predeceased her mother in 1929 at the age of two-and-one-half years.

She is survived by her husband, Samuel and six children: Mrs. Emerson (Verda) Sept of Three Hills, Raymond of Edmonton, Marie of Linden, Mrs. Nick (Helen) Wiens of Linden, Mrs. Larry (Doris) King of Edmonton and Mrs. Ervin (Susan) Harder of Linden. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, one brother, Isaac Brown of Linden, and one sister, Mrs. Sadie Milligen of Medicine Hat, Three brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.

Among the familes most treasured memories will always be her steadfast and living faith in her Saviour and Lord. This simple faith continued to uphold her until He called her to her eternal home. "Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Corinthians 15:5)
