GERHARD WILLMS

Gerhard Willms, 30 Maurice Sot., Kitchener, died January 1 in the K-W Hospital after a brief illness. He was 77. Born in Russia on March 11, 1892, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Willms. He had lived in Kitchener for 17 years. Before moving to the city he had farmed in western Canada and Leamington for many years.

He was a member of the Kitchener Mennonite Brethren Church and was long a choir director. For 17 years he directed a choir which sang regularly at the Scott Pavilion, a wing of the K-W Hospital.

He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Agatila Boschman, in 1952, three brothers and two sisters. Surviving are his second wife, the former Mary Wiebe; four sons, Walter, Victor and Jacob, all of Kitchener, and George of Windsor; a daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Sylvia) Dyck of Lexington , Mass,; two brothers and three sisters.
