BOY FALLS IN PATH OF HORSE-DRAWN MOWER, FATALLY INJURED

Milverton, Ontario. — Mr. and Mrs. Simon Kuepfer and family of this community mourn the loss of their eldest son, Simon, 10 years of age, who suffered fatal injuries Sept. 15 when he fell into the path of a horse drawn mower. He died two days later without regaining consciousness.

The youth had begged his father’s permission to do some mowing by himself. Later, the father and hired man noticed him hanging from the horses’ harness as he attempted to keep them from running away, but before they could go to his aid, he fell into the path of the mower.

Funeral services were conducted at the home, with Bishop Sam Steckly officiating.
