He passed away at the Bethel Deaconess hospital where he was taken only a few hours before death released him from his suffering. He is survived by his deeply bereaved wife, nee Sarah Flaming, to whom he was married in 1907, and the following children: Mrs. Marvin Franz, Pete and Hilda Schroeder, all of Newton; Arlo, who is in the Navy in Florida and Leonard, with the army in Virginia, and Martha (Mrs. McCloud) in Texas. It is expected that all children will be able to come for the funeral, which will likely be Friday at the local First Mennonite Church.
