&#8212;  Having walked upstairs in his home in the vicinity of Huron, South Dakota, in the afternoon of February 6, John P. Gross, well known farmer there, suffered a severe attack of illness which resulted in his sudden death.  He was a member of the Huttertal church, which he served as trustee for 20 years.  Ministers participating in the funeral services were Rev. J. J. Hofer, Rev. J. W. Kleinsasser and Rev. Paul J. R. Hofer.  Mr. Gross was 71 years of age.
