20GREAT GREAT GRAND-CHILDREN SURVIVE MRS. CATHERINE BASINGER, 95
Pandora, Ohio. — This community’s oldest resident passed away on July 19 at her home two and one-half miles southeast of here. She was Mrs. Catherine Basinger, widow of John M. Basinger, who reached her 95th birthday last May 10.
Mrs. Basinger was born in Putman [sic Putnam] county, Ohio, on May 10, 1851. She is survived by one daughter, five sons, 52 grandchildren, 88 great-grandchildren, and 20 great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Ebenezer Mennonite church near Bluffton on Sunday afternoon, July 21, with Rev. A. C. Schultz o Chicago and Rev. Charles Warren officiating.
