— Karl Hildebrand, 84 year old pioneer of the Mennonite community at Altona, Man., died in his home there Thursday, Dec. 23. Among the first to settle in the Sommerfeld neighborhood years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Hildebrand had a leading part in the development of the community. Besides Mrs. Hildebrand, 18 children survive.
