Funeral services for Anna (Mrs. E. J.) Claassen of rural Whitewater were held Jan. 8 at the First Mennonite Church of Newton with Albert Epp in charge. She died Jan. 4 at the age of 87. Born Anna Schroeder, she was married in 1910 to E. J. Claassen who died in 1970. Surviving are two sons, Willard K. of Newton and Carl E. of El Macero, Calif.; a daughter, Hester (Mrs. Frank) Busenitz of rural Whitewater; a brother, G. B. Schroeder of Newton; three sisters, Mrs. W. W. Toevs of Wichita, Mrs. Herbert Aldrich of Hollywood, Calif. and Mrs. Herbert Stucky of Moundridge, 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. |
