&#8212; The aged C. F. Duerksen and his daughter, Mrs. Dan F. Unruh, have left for Cordell, Okla., to attend the funeral of Rev. A. W. Froese, Mr. Duerksen's son-in-law, who died at his home there last Saturday.  Funeral services are to be held at the Mennonite church near Carnegie on Thursday afternoon.  Rev. Froese served as minister in Oklahoma for many years and was well known in Mennonite circles there.  He had, however, been inactive for some time because of failing health.  He was 65 years of age.  Besides his wife, who is a daughter and sister of Mr. Duerksen and Mrs. Unruh, he is survived by several grown children.

Abraham W. Froese, son of Abraham and Ida Froese, was born on March 11, 1879, at Council Grove, Kansas.  Later he, with his parents, moved to Hillsboro, Kansas, and again, at the age of ten years, moved to Halstead, Kansas.  Then in 1890 his parents moved to Abilene, Texas, and from there in 1893 to Northeast of Cordell, Okla.
In his early youth he gave his heart to the Lord and accepted Him as his personal Savior and on July 4, 1897, was baptized by Elder jacob Toews and received as a member in the Sichar church.
On April 16, 1903, he was united to Marie Thiessen in holy matrimony.  This home was blessed with three daughters and one son.
On July 19, 1908, he was ordained as a minister of the Gospel by Rev. H. R. Voth, in the Sichar church.
In 1912 he with his family moved to Taloga, Okla., where he served the Kidron church for three yEars.
In 1915 he accepted the call from the Greenfield church at Carnegie, Oklahoma, and later moved there.
On November 13, 1927, he was ordained as Elder by Rev. P. H. Unruh.
On June 9, 1928, it pleased the Lord to take his beloved wife to her reward in Glory.
For the next five years he made his home with his children.
On November 19, 1933, he was united in marriage to Mrs. Marie Frey.  They then moved to Cordell, Oklahoma.  However, he still served as a minister in the Greenfield chutch for a few years.  Later he again served the Kidron church at Taloga, Okla., while living at Cordell.
Although in failing health it was still his greatest joy to serve his Lord and Master.
He became ill on November 18, 1944, and passed away very suddenly at 11 o'clock A. M. on Nov. 25, 1944.  He reached the age of 65 years, 8 months, and 14 days.
He leaves to mourn his departure, his dear wife, three daughters, Mrs. Emma Unruh, Mrs. Ida Nightingale of Carnegie, Okla., Mrs. Bertha Unruh of Hillsdale, Okla., and one son, David Froese of Carnegie, Okla.; 3 sons-in-law, one daughter-in-law, one step-daughter, Hilda, of Cordell, Okla., 13 grandchildren, 2 brothers and six sisters and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the Sichar church, Cordell, Okla., at 10 A. M. on Nov. 30, 1944.  Here Rev. Menno Kliewer had charge of the services and was assisted by Rev. Janzen and Rev. Friesen of the Herold church, Bessie, Okla.
Then at 2:30 P. M. services were held at the Greenfield Mennonite church at Carnegie, Okla.  The services were conducted by rev. Rudolph Schmidt.  he was assisted by Rev. H. N. Harder of Geary, Okla., Rev. Henry Hege of Corn, Okla., and Rev. Albert Unruh of Meno, Okla.  Burial services were conducted at the Greenfield cemetery.
Our dear father has departed.  Never again on this earth will we feel his warm hands, look on his happy face or hear his sweet voice.  He has gone to be with his Lord and master.  But there will be a glorious reunion on the resurrection morning where there will be no more parting.

— The aged C. F. Duerksen and his daughter, Mrs. Dan F. Unruh, have left for Cordell, Okla., to attend the funeral of Rev. A. W. Froese, Mr. Duerksen's son-in-law, who died at his home there last Saturday. Funeral services are to be held at the Mennonite church near Carnegie on Thursday afternoon. Rev.
