&#9679; Alex “Rex” Norris, 20, a former Newton resident and Bethel College student, died March 20 of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at his home in Ponca City, Okla. He was assistant manager of Pizza Hut in Ponca City, Services were held March 23 at First Mennonite Church of Burns, with Greg Schmdit officiating. Burial was in the First Mennonite cemetery. Survivors include his parents, Martin B. Norris and Marilyn K. Stucky Norris of Newton; a brother, Brad of Manhattan; two sisters, Valerie Norris and Natalie Norris, both of Newton; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Norris Staley of Liberal; and maternal grandparents, Paul and Leta Stucky of Burns.

● Alex “Rex” Norris, 20, a former Newton resident and Bethel College student, died March 20 of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at his home in Ponca City, Okla.
