He received the Lord as his personal Saviour in 1917 and was baptized in the Dnieper River and received into the Mennonite Brethren Church. On August of 1915 he married Helena Niebuhr. He and his family immigrated to Canada in 1925. In 1958 he retired and moved to Herbert, Saskatchewan. | ||

Funeral services for the late Mr. Frank F. Doerksen of Herbert, Saskatchewan were conducted in the Herbert Mennonite Brethren Church on April 24, 1968. Officiating at the service were Rev. Nick Janz (German) and Rev. Herman Voth (English).
Frank Doerksen was born in Greenfeld, South Russia, on August 13, 1894. He received the Lord as his personal Saviour in 1917 and was baptized in the Dnieper River and received into the Mennonite Brethren Church. On August of 1915 he married Helena Niebuhr.
