Born in Russia, Mrs. Unger came to Canada in 1930 and lived in Manitoba, then came to Ontario where the family lived first in New Hamburg and St. Catharines before moving to Niagara on-the-Lake in 1940. She was a member of the Virgil Church. | |||
Mrs. Unger is survived by her husband; five sons, Abram in Niagara Falls, William in Virgil, Jerry in Wawa, Ont., Cornelius and John in St. Catharines; four daughters, Mrs. Len (Lydia) Bartel of Vancouver, Mrs. Rudy (Olga) Janzen in Port Colborne, Ont., Mrs. Douglas (Margaret) Hicks of Delhi, Ont., and Mrs. Ed (Agatha) Friesen of Edmonton; as well as two brothers and one sister. Burial was in the Lake Shore Cemetery, Niagara-on-the-Lake. | |||

MRS. LYDIA UNGER
Mrs. Lydia Unger, 67, wife of Abram Unger of Virgil, Ont., passed away February 24 after a lengthy illness. The funeral was in the Virgil Mennonite Brethren Church, February 27, with Rev. John G. Baerg ministering.
