Hulda Rupp Meyer, daughter of Jacob and Katharina Weber Rupp, was born near Moundridge, Kansas June 11, 1876, and departed from this life on May 27, 1951, at the age of 74 years, 11 months, and 16 days.
 
When still a young girl she was baptized upon the profession of her faith in the West Zion Mennonite church of Moundridge. She remained an active and faithful member of this church until the day of her death.
 
On December 25, 1896, she was united in marriage to Fred D. Meyer. They made their home on a farm near Hesston, from which after three years they moved to a farm three miles east of Moundridge. In March 1937, they retired from farm life and moved to the city of Moundridge. Eleven years later on March 8, 1948, she was preceded in death by her husband. An infant son, Christian, had preceded them both, passing away September 8, 1902.
 
Those who remain to feel the loss of her departure are her children: one son Alfred, five daughters, Esther, Mrs. R. R. Huxman, Elma, Mrs. D. J. Huxman, Elizabeth, Mrs. L. L. Loganbill, Bertha, Mrs. Dale S. Galle, Marie, Mrs. Silas Wedel; one daughter-in-law; five sons-in-law, all of Moundridge; fifteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother, C. W. Rupp; two sisters, Mrs. D. R. Winsinger, and Mrs. Lydia Schmitt of Stanford, Montana; one foster sister, Mrs. S. S. Stucky of Gobles, Michigan; and many other relatives and friends.
 
Funeral services were held from the West Zion church Tuesday afternoon, May 29.
