— A number of friends and relatives from Newton attended funeral services at the First Church of Christian, Moundridge, last Friday afternoon for Mrs. Val Krehbiel, 66, who suffered fatal injuries in an auto accident east of Wichita Monday evening, March 26. She died early the following morning. Mr. Krehbiel, formerly employed as engineer at Bethel college, was severely injured but is recovering. They were en route to their home near Augusta when their car went out of control due to a tire blowout. Mrs. Krehbiel, the former Maude R. Rupp, was a member of the Bethel College church. Rev. Lester Hostetler conducted the funeral service, assisted by Rev. P. P. Wedel. Survivors include a son, Dwight, and daughter, Mrs. Rhea Blythe, and their families of Wichita.
