SMOKETOWN, PENNA.
Death claimed the life of Martha Jane Hostetter, two and one-half year old daughter of Christian and Betty Hostetter of Andalusia, Ala. The parents went to Alabama two years ago and are engaged in mission work there. The child became ill and final diagnosis was the fatal blood disease, leukemia. After doctors indicated that the child would not live, the parents brought her to Millersville, Lancaster county, to see her grandparents. They arrived at an uncle’s home Wednesday and Martha Jane died Thursday noon. She is survived by her parents; three sisters, Betty Christine, Doris Jean and Lois Anne; her' grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hostetter and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lehman. Funeral services were held at the Millersville Mennonite church.
