Rosedale mission leader dies at 64

ROSEDALE, Ohio — Henry Helmuth, Latin America mission director for Rosedale Mennonite Missions, died Aug. 1 after a battle with cancer. He was 64.

Helmuth and his wife, Esther, who survives, had served with RMM since 1965. They were missionaries and church planters in Costa Rica for 18 years and in San Antonio, Texas, for 15 years.

In 1998 Helmuth took on an administrative role in the Rosedale office, overseeing U.S. ministry. Most recently he was directing ministries in Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Ecuador.
