Joseph Y. Hooley, 86, of Middlebury, Ind., died at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Paul Troyer, Hammond avenue, route one Elkhart. He had been ill several days.

Born June 30, 1861, in Ohio, the son of Joseph and Rachel (Yoder) Hooley, he married Gertrude Yoder on March 1, 1884. He had been a resident of the Middlebury community most of his life. Mr. Hooley served as a deacon in the Forks Mennonite church for 41 years.

JOSEPH Y. HOOLEY

Joseph Y. Hooley, 86, of Middlebury, Ind., died at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Paul Troyer, Hammond avenue, route one Elkhart. He had been ill several days.

Born June 30, 1861, in Ohio, the son of Joseph and Rachel (Yoder) Hooley, he married Gertrude Yoder on March 1, 1884. He had been a resident of the Middlebury community most of his life. Mr. Hooley served as a deacon in the Forks Mennonite church for 41 years.
