Pauls, a farmer, began his ministerial work at Zoar in the 1920s. From 1937 to 1950 he was the lead pastor. Over the years he also was assistant pastor, interim pastor and served in other supportive ways, said pastor Gary Janzen.

Pauls was one of the founders of Central Christian School in Hutchinson.

Services were held Nov. 20 at Zoar MB Church, with Janzen and Elmer Ensz officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Longtime Inman, Kan., Church Leader Dies

Inman, Kan. — D. C. Pauls, who served in ministerial capacities at Zoar Mennonite Brethren Church for more than 50 years, died Nov. 17 at Pleasant View Home. He was 97.

Pauls, a farmer, began his ministerial work at Zoar in the 1920s. From 1937 to 1950 he was the lead pastor. Over the years he also was assistant pastor, interim pastor and served in other supportive ways, said pastor Gary Janzen.

Pauls was one of the founders of Central Christian School in Hutchinson.

Services were held Nov. 20 at Zoar MB Church, with Janzen and Elmer Ensz officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
